In Vienna's Floridsdorf lies the first urban SOS Children's Village of Austria. The organization's work focuses on abandoned, destitute and orphaned children requiring family-based child care. An SOS Children's Village mother or father lives with up to five children in one flat, taking care of their enhanced emotional and psychological needs - next-door to other Viennese families. The parent organization SOS-Kinderdorf International is providing a stable and nurturing environment for 65.000 children and adults in over 100 countries worldwide.

Once a year Rotaract Wien-Stadtpark supports the SOS Children's Village Vienna in organizing and running the annual family festival. A full day of sports, games and laughter for the kids and a lot of sweat for our members. Keeping up with motivated kids is challenging but rewarding and humbling nonetheless.

More information on the SOS Children's Village Vienna can be found on the website of SOS Children's Village Vienna.
